The Effective Living Centre (ELC) is a community partnership organisation and an integral part of Christ Church Uniting, Wayville. The ELC empowers people to engage with and contribute to life more effectively. It is open and available to people of any social, political or religious stance.
Programs
Our programs evolve and change according to community needs or demand but can be grouped under the following headings:
 Positive Parenting – courses which have now been supported for over ten years by the Unley Council. |
 Progressive Christianity Network SA – events to explore and nurture Christian faith and spirituality in modern times. |
 Sacred and Creative – artist-in-residence program, Poets Corner, and other ways to connect the sacred with the creative. |
 Social Issues – current and topical issues concerning equity and justice. |
Since its beginning in 1998, the Centre has built up a reliable and admired infrastructure. We are able to host courses and seminars – small or large – and to provide excellent facilities and administration services for other community organisations. Cooperative initiatives are seen by the ELC as a way of participating in personal and community development with others.
